Torrefacto: Torrefacto refers to a particular process of roasting coffee beans, common in Spain, France, Paraguay, Portugal, Mexico, Costa Rica, Uruguay and Argentina. The process involves adding a certain amount of sugar during roasting in order to glaze the beans. The glazed beans are then mixed with normal roasted beans.

Hunter Brothers’ torrefacto coffee is amazing. I do not prefer my coffee black, so when it was suggested that I try this particular roast without any cream or sugar, I’ll admit, I was skeptical… Torrefacto is amazing! After a few sips, I added just a splash of unsweetened coconut milk for some “color” and enjoyed two leisurely cups before starting my day… absolutely delightful coffee!!
